A big thank you to our attendees and partners, The Chopping Block and Green City Market, who helped make Bridging the Gap a wonderful Sunday afternoon! We hope everyone learned at least one thing to use in their day-to-day routine, whether it's how to make zucchini pasta, discovering millet grain, or how to post a fire Instagram photo of your food.
Like the magazine, "Bridging the Gap" is meant to be a platform for positive change. Our plan is to bring this event to schools and community centers to deliver an overall food experience that educates communities. The event was titled "Bridging the Gap" because we believe that Chicagoans from every neighborhood could unite around food and also discover the commonalities that we share. Erasing that divide means erasing the divide among food education and availability, and brings us one step closer to food equality.
Issue 2 is on the way. Come out to Logan Square Farmers Market on Sunday, March 26th to purchase your copy!
